What’s people’s problem with slavery? Don’t they realize that freedom is just a social construct? If Saudi society chooses to regard some people as slaves, and to “construct” the institution of slavery, then that’s just that society’s value judgment, right? And what business do we have regarding freedom as “natural,” and somehow inherently “right”? As if Saudi society, in choosing to adopt slavery, is somehow violating the law, when really it creates the law! (HTAT)
