<description>I was a "born and raised" Republican. I became a Goldwater Republican in 1964 and Reagan fan soon after. I read ALL Barry's books and still believe in much of what he said. I also read Ayn Rand's books early on in my reborn political thoughts and ideas. Love John Galt.

However, of late I am having a hard time seeing John McCain in The White House (never mind those other two). I have good friend who is a libertarian and more and more lately I have been thinking of either voting Libertarian, or 'none of the above'. Or maybe for Micky Mouse, as a protest against all the Micky Mouse activity in this country. 250 years ago I would have stood with those good Liberals who gave birth to this country. Today I am not sure who I stand with.

I am a seeker after knowledge and answers, have been all of my 64 years. Politically I am lost and confused. Is there no one out there to stand up and defend what those True Liberals fought and suffered and died for in 1770's?
